I was born and raised in North Carolina and was artistically inclined from an early age, but realized quickly that I couldn’t draw or paint, so I gravitated to acting and photography. After college in Boston, I lived in New York for a few years before I came to my senses and moved to Los Angeles. After some years balancing my film/TV aspirations with photography, my love of portraiture prevailed, and I made the decision to pursue a career behind the lens.
I’ve always been fascinated by people- their hopes, fears, passions and curiosities- and am excited by any opportunity to find and capture a genuine, revealing moment. Any day I am able to use my camera to forge a connection with a subject, and by extension with a viewer, is a great day.
